BIOMAK - Transforms Biowaste System
BIOMAK transforms biowaste into a new material, a homogeneous, sanitized and bio-thermo-stabilized biomass that allows multiple uses and applications.
The most relevant of these, without a doubt, is the optimization of the anaerobic digestion process, in which the quantity and quality of the resulting biogas is increased and which can, in turn, be transformed into biomethane. In addition to allowing the energy self-sufficiency of the entire integrated model, the surplus can be injected into the network, which entails economic and environmental benefits, as it is a gas of renewable origin.
BIOMAK is the ideal complement to biogas production technologies. It manages to optimize the performance of biogas and biomethane production processes, to the point of at least doubling the performance of an anaerobic digestion plant.
The biomass obtained thanks to BIOMAK has the ideal properties for feeding digesters in biogas and biomethane production plants, and reduces maintenance and operating costs.
The added value of our technology resides in the fact that we allow an efficient operation with inhomogeneous waste and a high load of pathogens. With this process, a direct bridge is created between waste management and the production of renewable energy. We offer the best solution to transform complex waste into a valuable resource.
In addition, we help meet the decarbonization objectives, since the implementation of our technology in a treatment plant prevents the emission of 10,000 tons of greenhouse gases (GHG) per year, equivalent to the reduction that 2,700 hectares of land would carry out. forest.
The integration of BIOMAK ® in treatment plants allows obtaining important benefits:
About the plant, technology and treatment
- Large treatment capacity in a very small space.
- Scalable and modular technology.
- Lower energy consumption thanks to its semi-continuous operation.
- It allows to recover a high use of the organic fraction (>90%) and separate inappropriate material from biowaste.
About the primary product and its uses
A stabilized, degraded, homogeneous and sanitized biomass is obtained, ideal for anaerobic digestion processes. The resulting biomass has an organic material content greater than 98%. Significantly increases the performance of an anaerobic digestion plant, managing to at least double the production of biogas. Improves the quality of the biogas obtained at the plant, with a biomethane content of 67%.
On the contribution to environmental objectives
Avoid the deposit in landfill of organic matter, responsible for greenhouse gas emissions. It contributes to the decarbonisation of the economy and the energy transition.
