INNARI mipotube - Underground Irrigation System
The centerpiece of the irrigation system of the INNARI Innovation Nature Irrigation GmbH is the mipotube. The mipotube is a porous membrane tube which is laid underground and thus accurately irrigates plants of any kind directly at the roots. If necessary, the plants can also be supplied directly through the tube with fertilizer and oxygen.
The plants evolve optimally by the targeted and coordinated water supply. This shows among other things in increased yields in agriculture by up to 30 % after switching from conventional irrigation methods to the mipotube irrigation system.
However, the biggest advantage compared to traditional irrigation methods is reflected in the water savings: The mipotube irrigation system saves up to 75% of water.
- Save water : Water conservation by targeted irrigation adapted to the plant directly at the roots and thus no loss of water through evaporation; Water savings up to 75 %
- Reduced fertilizer use : In addition to water, also liquid fertilizer can be added directly by the mipotube® to the plant. The targeted use after analysis of soil samples obtained a saving of fertilizers up to 50 %.
- Increase of crop yields : With mipotube® the crop yields on the same land increase by up to 30 % compared to conventional irrigation systems.
- Long service life : With proper installation and use, the mipotube® is at least 20 years of service (when used correctly at trees, for example Date palms or apple trees, the mipotube® remains in use over the entire lifetime of the plant).
- Sustainable : The mipotube® is made of recycled rubber from used tires and polyethylene and is in turn itself fully recyclable. The production process is CO2 neutral.
- Organic production : Due to the dry surface less pests are attracted. The use of pesticides is greatly reduced or even completely avoided. Organic products can be easily produced.
- Irrigation automatic : The automatic irrigation controls save time and staff.
- Hardly weed growth : Because of the lack of surface moisture when using the mipotube® irrigation system the germination and growth of weeds is avoided.
- Healthy plant growth : With proper treatment, healthy growth and thus healthy, robust plants are obtained.
- No space requirements : By underground laying there is no obstruction on arable land, sports venues or parks.
- Turf heating : The mipotube® can not only irrigate and fertilize a football turf. It can drainage the turf e.g. in the case of heavy rain, as well as aerate and heat it in winter.
- Root development : Better and denser rooting compared to conventional irrigation systems.
- No cleaning necessary : No clogging of the tube through soil, sand, dirt or roots.
- Barrier-free irrigation : Thanks to the subterrean laying of the mipotube® irrigation system disturbances in agricultural work or in the use of green areas are avoided.

In professional usage the mipotube® is used in agriculture, landscaping, horticulture and for public sports venues.
Depending on the plant and terrain different installation techniques are used. From a manual laying up to special laying machines we offer various custom options.
Basically the mipotube® is laid between the planted rows that are to be irrigated. Here the tube distributes the water as a natural membrane over its entire area and its entire length. Thereby, the ground around the mipotube® becomes a humid zone due to the natural capillary. In order to obtain optimal results, the spacing of the rows is selected in relation to the soil conditions and the plant species.
