UV curing
The excellent usability of the iMPREGLiner is especially evident during UV curing. Our liner system is designed in a way that specially binds the resin into the fibre glass structure so that it cannot escape during processing. In addition, the design of the system allows the light source to be inserted into the liner in a gentle and safe way. These properties are not only regarded as extremely important by our customers - they are also vital to the quality of the end product.
Naturally, all pipe profiles up to DN1200, oval pipes, pipes with unusual profiles, and pipes with integral dimension changes can be cured using UV technology.
In the case of wall thicknesses from 8mm, our UV liners are also cured using combination curing. In this case, the liners are exposed to UV light as for the regular installation. They are then subjected to a through-hardening procedure on the outside of the liner and then to thermal curing, trigged by added peroxide.
UV curing is particularly attractive due to its extremely low energy demand, flexible on-site implementation, and short curing times. In addition, UV curing does not require any water whatsoever, and thus protects our environment with a lasting effect.
