Perrier - Model DOR -Valve
The DOR valve is used as both an isolating and regulating component in sewage and/or rainwater outfalls. It sinks absolutely flush with the floor of the basin to allow unimpeded passage of the flow. On the other hand, it completely blocks the opening. Between these two limits, it regulates the flow rates by adjusting the height of the weir head.
Its small space requirement and its hydraulic motorization make it the ideal appliance for underground networks, especially sewers. Sand does not interfere with its operation since the weir head constantly cleans the floor. The residue is directly flushed by the movement of the valve.
Its operation allows protection of watercourses both from discharge from sewer outfalls and from rising of salt water into the mains for installations on the sea shore or on watercourses. They are also used to regulate the water level in outfalls, which enables them to be used as retention basins and avoid hydraulic overloading of the treatment equipment downstream.
