Model TS Series -Voltage Stabilisers
Backed by more than 100 years of service to government, industry, academia and scientific research in the field of voltage and power control, the Claude Lyons Series TS is universally recognised as the finest range of AC servo mechanical voltage stabilisers available on the market. Designed and manufactured in the U.K. for a World market, the TS range of single and three phase AC Voltage Stabilisers control the supply voltage to virtually any equipment that suffers from supply line fluctuations. Our electromechanical voltage stabilisers utilise a sophisticated microprocessor electronic control system to continually monitor and adjust a motor driven variable autotransformer, the output of which is fed directly to the output terminals on low power units or into a transformer designed to “buck or boost” the input voltage in our higher power units. This in turn ensures that even with a fluctuating mains supply voltage the output can be adjusted and maintained at the desired voltage level.
This tried and tested method delivers highly cost effective, stepless voltage stabilisation with the ability to maintain the output voltage precisely at the desired preset value.
These are typically used to maintain the supply to within very small tolerances at a pre-set voltage. We offer a very wide range of units available from stock or built and supplied to meet customers particular specifications, ranging from 500VA to over 1000kVA in both single phase and three phase applications.
We have a vast standard range offering various input swing options up to 50% for input supply voltages up to 450 volts. Alternative tappings give three selectable input swings within the total input range 50:50, 70:30 or 30:70. TS series systems as standard are housed in bespoke well-ventilated, robust steel cabinets.
In addition to our high specification standard range, we have in-house engineering and design services available to complement our manufacturing facilities. Three phase assemblies comprising three single phase stabiliser units, star connected in a single cabinet, provide individual correction of each phase ensuring balance even with unbalanced supply or load.

Electromechanical Voltage Stabiliser can also be used for Voltage Optimisation and energy saving applications and to prolong the life of equipment, where the main incoming power supply voltage is significantly higher than the required voltage for the appliances the voltage can be reduced, often by up to 12% which can prolong Equipment life and offer Energy savings of up to 20%.
