Climate changes increases the frequency of extreme weather events leading to dangerous situations for the community, like flash floods, river overflows. Continuous real-time monitoring of the precipitation, especially during extreme weather events, is necessary to reduce casualties.
MetaSensing, developed a family of advanced weather radar which can deliver in real-time very accurate information on the precipitation amount (Quantitative Precipitation Estimations – QPE) and allow for nowcasting up to two hours (Quantitative Precipitation Nowcasting – QPN).
The QX-family comprises two high-resolution Quad-Pol FM-CW Doppler X-band Weather radar for precipitation measurements which, thanks for its unique features, can be installed in the heart of the city providing accurate rainfall estimation.
