Wide-orifice LTS Tips for Reduced Shear and Less Resistance. Rainin’s wide-orifice LTS pipette tips have enlarged apertures which reduce the shear force and provide a larger opening for the aspiration and dispensing of viscous, particulate or otherwise recalcitrant sample solutions. Wide-orifice tips are particularly useful for protecting the viability of cultured cells and maintaining the integrity of high molecular weight DNA. These tips are supplied in the racked format only and are available non-sterile and sterile. Rainin’s wide-orifice tips are available for both LTS and universal-fit pipettes.
