Scotia - Model SWCT -Wireless Continuity Transmitter
Remote continuity monitoring and recording is achieved by incorporating a radio and continuity transmitter in one assembly. A remote receiver allows continuity to be displayed or recorded without interconnecting cables.
The transmitter, powered by an internal battery, allows wireless transmission of the continuity status to the receiver. The mains powered receiver can be up to 500 metres maximum and 200 meters typical as per ESI.
The receiver provides a 4-20mA output recorded by any of the Scotia logging systems such as Scotialogger and SDAS. The connection carries the data and power for the receiver and also identifies each attached receiver via an electronic tag. A switch allows the device to be turned o when not in use.
Difficult to access sites and moving or rotating equipment can be tested without cable twisting.
Data transmission is via a radio transmitter operating at a designated low power UHF telemetry frequency. No licence is required with this equipment.
