A natural occurring mineral Asbestos was used in products from power house steam pipe insulation to coatings under residential sinks, and most everything in between. While Gerken Environmental has ventured into other areas of the environmental and service industry since our inception in 1993, the removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials and products still remains our core business.

Having completed projects for industrial clients, commercial clients, and the occasional home owner, Gerken Environmental has built a reputation of completing high profile and high attention projects within many occupied buildings and high visiblity structures throughout Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas.

Owners Al R. Gerken completed his first asbestos abatement project in 1982, and Greg A. Gerken completed his first asbestos abatement project in 1989. Our investment into personnel who share the same appreciation for quality and drive to have our name spoken in the highest regard, along with the use of state of the art work practices and equipment, we feel we can adapt and react to many of the problems encountered on an abatement project before those problems cost owners time and money in delays.
