Cell biology is the study of composition, organization and function of the cells, of which all living matter is composed. Basically, cell biology is a natural partner of many other intertwined disciplines, such as biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics, anatomy and physiology. It has strong connections with all of disciplines. Also, cell biology has specialized areas, such as neuroscience, that are of such importance that they warrant their own category.
