Damage Analysis Services
Damage analysis and test methods for technical ceramics in our test laboratory. Should there ever be an unexpected failure of the system or a product at the customer`s site: we are there for you! The damage analysis deals with the recording of the damage that occurs and examines the possible causes so that you can quickly proceed back to the normal planning cycle.
Testing of ceramics according to scientific criteria
Our approach is strictly based on scientific criteria that allow an independent and objective evaluation. A description and inventory of the facts found is the basis for the cooperation. The hypothesis created from this is then tested using chemical and physical tests and adjusted if necessary. At the end of this cycle, there is a description of the complete situation down to the supposed cause. These findings can now be used further to eliminate the problem or to adapt the process so that it runs even better in your interest and can be checked.
LIMITS
The limits of ceramic damage analysis
Since the company was founded, we at WZR ceramic solutions GmbH have relied on long-term and close customer relationships. In the course of the process, both sides may exchange confidential information that is essential for the analysis and, above all, for the interpretation. The precise assessment therefore requires your involvement and a discussion in the course of which the objective results are applied to the process, which you know in detail even better than we do. Your help is therefore a basic building block. The limits of the analysis methods will be discussed with you in detail in advance. The limits are purely device-related, depending on the sample preparation and condition, with measurement spot sizes (“measurement resolution”) of approx. 3 nm, the maximum magnification at 300,000 times. The samples themselves can be up to 150 mm in diameter and up to approx.Scanning electron microscope are introduced and observed. Depending on the nature of the samples, preparation to the desired areas or suitable sizes is necessary.
