Utility Systems, Science and Software (US3) provides Utility Vault Monitoring or often called Manhole Vault Monitoring to monitor the vault conditions and transmit an alarm when dangerous levels are detected.

Utility manhole vaults are monitored with multiple sensors simultaneously. US3 has more than 30 sensor types that detect:
- Intrusion, including proximity sensors and thermal spectrums;
- Environmental conditions, including water level, fire detection, temperature, relative humidity and pressure,
- Gas concentration, including Methane (CH4), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
- Bus Bar and transformer temperatures,
