Aegina’s engineered solutions provide cost savings as well as being Earth kind. Most large scale water purification systems currently use mercury lamps to create the UV light to purify water. While mercury was the latest and best disinfection and photo-chemical purification of water a few years ago, UVC LED systems have been developed and can provide a better, cheaper and more environmentally friendly solution.
