In addition to inspecting the filter bags for proper installation or holes or tears, the following items should also be considered: Pressure Gauge Working - check the differential pressure gauge and the tubing leading to the dust collector. Ductwork, Dampers – inspect the ductwork to and from the dust collector for air leaks or blockage. Make sure that any dampers in the system are correctly positioned to allow air to flow through the dust collector. Leaks in the Housing – check the tubesheet and the dust collector housing for holes, cracks or loose gasketing that would permit air to bypass the dust collector or filter bags.
