Flotation Services

In contrast with sedimentation, the flotation principle is based on raising the sludge to the surface by means of very small air bubbles. These small air bubbles are formed by pressure reduction of the aerated pressurised water. The flotation principle has many important advantages: Insensitivity to flow variations, insensitivity to temperature variations, small plant volume, virtually no water loss, high total solids content of separated sludge, very high degree of separation even for very small particles, simple operation, total reduction of algae.
