Garbage & Trash Processing
One waste-to-energy process utilizing Refuse Derived Fuels, recovers materials prior to burning. The fuel is separated and processed in separate garbage and trash streams, removing ferrous and non-ferrous materials prior to mixing in the fuel storage area. A tire de-rimming and shredding process is also utilized to supplement the waste stream, when required. The trash stream, also known as green waste (consisting of trees, shrubs, and other organic materials) can be recycled into a valuable biomass fuel source as well as organic material.
