Geotech Drilling Services
Geotechnical drilling is used for site investigations where the intent is to determine subsurface geotechnical soil properties or install subsurface improvements. Cascade Drilling`s performs these services with Sonic, Air Rotary and Auger rigs that includes dewatering systems, geotechnical soil boring, soil sampling with both 140 and 300 pound automatic hammers, the installation of piezometers, inclinometers, tensiometers, grout curtains and geothermal applications.
Typical applications for piezometers are monitoring groundwater depth, pore water pressures for slope stability evaluation, earth filled dams and embankments, containment systems at landfills and tailings dams. Dewatering systems are used for excavations, vertical drains and sand drains.
Inclinometers are instruments for measuring change in the angle of slopes or soil movement, tilt indicators, slope alert, slope gauge, gradiometer, or declinometer.
