Mecapump centrifugal pumps were awarded ATEX certification by INERIS in 2012. The ATEX regulation, effective since 1 July 2013, is appli-
cable throughout the European Union. Based on two directives (Direc-tive 1992/92/EC and 2014/34/EU) it aims for the improvement of the health and the safety of the workers exposed to the risks of explosive atmosphere, and establishes requirements for equipment on the market intended for use in, or related to explosive atmospheres.
