Leak Testing Service
Leak testing service with maximum precision to check for leaks in fuel tanks. System approved and authorized by the general directorates of industry throughout the national territory and evaluated by the ICIM LAB laboratory in accordance with RD 1523/1999 .
Regular leak testing of fuel tanks allows for the safety of the facilities, compliance with current legislation without exposing the company to sanctions, and also continuous use of storage tanks, without interruptions that are always problematic.
For tank tightness testing, we use the patented RAFIBRA-VSN system, developed by our R&D department in collaboration with leading national laboratories and universities in this field.
Furthermore, the RAFIBRA-VSN system has passed the laboratory leak test, in compliance with the requirements established in Standard 53968, and has the corresponding Metrological Confirmation Certificate.
It also stands out for its high precision in leak testing , which allows it to detect leaks of only 100 ml/hour, which are imperceptible to other systems and is not affected by temperature, pressure and humidity variations, as occurs with conventional tests, which are quite sensitive to environmental conditions.
Furthermore, the leak test is performed with the fuel still in the tank, regardless of the volume. And, if a leak is detected, no fluid is released, as the tank can be isolated until the fuel is removed.
Rafibra's leak test is non-aggressive, has been tested by thousands of customers, and is approved worldwide. Once the test is completed, an Official Inspection Certificate with all the guarantees is obtained .
Leakage test on API 650 tanks
The RAFIBRA-VSN system has been developed with all the specific requirements for performing leak testing on API 650 tanks, the international standard governing the design and measurements of most fuel tanks.
Leakage test on concrete tanks
RAFIBRA-VSN is also used for leak testing on concrete tanks, although this material is rarely used in service station tanks, as it is typically only used for fuels such as biogas.
