Grid connected PV systems are expected to have a lifetime of decades, with regularly scheduled maintenance and basic modifications along the lifetime, a PV system can maintain high production for 25-30 years. The ownership of a system may also change over time and only by the provision of adequate documentation from the outset can the long term performance and safety of the PV system be ensured.
