Services
We have a number of services that compliment our product range, as well as some added value services in the form of inspection and repair of high temperature refractory insulation systems. Please scroll on for more info.
Insulation Calculations
Using in house developed software we are able to carry out calculations to propose a solution designed to meet the exact requirements of a project regardless of the application whether thermal, passive fire protection, acoustic, cryogenic, high temperature or a combination of more than one requirement. Our experts are on hand to assist with any project type.
Survey & Installation
At Insulcon Technical we are not just a manufacturer we offer a full turnkey solution including site surveys in order to obtain information and measurements to allow us to calculate and propose a solution to meet the requirements of a project. We also offer a full installation team or alternatively a supervisor to work with the on site contractor for installation and maintenenance.
Inspection & Repair services - FurnacesHot Endoscopy
Our hot endoscopy service allows us to record the inner condition of furnaces, reformers, heaters, hot gas ducts etc, whilst in full operation.
Service overview
- Prior to our hot spot repair service or to determine damages of furnace internals
(process & catalyst tubes), hot endoscopy allows us to assess the urgency of a hot spot repair service or a process tube leakage. - The hot endoscopy inspection services may also be applied for regular inspection in thermal units to prevent escalating damages of refractory linings.
Hot Spot Repairs
Continuous operation of most furnaces results in deterioration of the hard refractory hot face lining and will damage the backup insulation. Hot spot repair system can avoid the requirement to shut down offering repairs whilst the system remains functional.
How it works
- While the system remains functional, holes are drilled in the casting plate. After this, couplings are welded onto it
- Specially developed injection moulds are now being injected through the mounted couplings
- As soon as injection mould is injected, the whole area of the hot spot cools down immediately
- Changes of pressure combined with over 15 years of experience indicate when the gap is completely filled
- The drilled holes/couplings are closed. The repaired spot usually remains colder than the rest of the surrounding area.
