At Dungeness Environmental, we realize that the more we know about samples obtained from the sites where potential water treatment is being evaluated, the better chance we have at effective treatment. Our facilities are equipped with various instruments, reagents, and most importantly trained personnel. With these resources, we can evaluate various parameters of interest by physical and chemical means.

Although we are not a certified analytical laboratory, we have the capability in house to do preliminary measurements for many different contaminants, such as but not limited to:
- Trace metals: Ag, Al, As, Ba, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Pb, Mn, Ni, and Zn.
- Inorganics: Alkalinity (total,) Ammonia, Ash, Bromine, Chloride, Chlorine (total and free,) Dissolved oxygen, Fluoride, Hydrogen sulfide, Ozone, Nitrate, Nitrite, Nitrogen (total and total kjeldahl,) Ozone, Silica, Sulfate, Sulfide, Tannin (lignin)
- Total petroleum hydrocarbons, Trihalomethanes
- Organics: Chemical oxygen demand, anionic surfactants, Anionic polyacrylamides, Chitosan, Total Organic Carbon
Such analyses are not generally included in the standard jar testing (typically only the standard test outlined in the jar testing file is complementary).
