sosCall - Version 2.0 -Location and Communication System

SosCall 2.0 is the assistant that accompanies and monitors the driver during his trip. In case of danger, pressing the sosCall 2.0 emergency key allows for the activation of contact by speakerphone with the Viasat Operations Center, active 24 hours a day, which locates the vehicle and provides the assistance requested.

In case of accident, sosCall 2.0 automatically generates a geo-localized alarm to the Viasat Operations Center, therefore allowing for the indication of the exact position of the vehicle to the Center and the activation of Speakerphone contact to provide support and necessary help directly on site.

Thanks to its compact and integrated design, it is placed in the interior part of the vehicle, on the windshield of the car, so as to be easily “accessible” whenever it becomes necessary to receive assistance or aid.

By entering one’s credentials in the RESERVED AREA FOR CUSTOMERS of our website, it is possible to obtain information concerning the data recorded by sosCall 2.0 such as, for example, data on itinerary and possible collisions; this enables the processing of statistics on vehicle usage and allows for a telematic reconstruction of crash dynamics.

In addition, a series of securization procedures enable the Operations Center to verify its correct functioning and to detect any tampering, in order to guarantee the system’s functionality, configurable and defined according to the SLA (Service Level Agreement).

The system integrates all the components including the SIM card, antennas, triaxial accelerometer and speakerphone.
