Basic Oil Spill Course

The first part is a classroom session covering Oil, Health & Safety Regulations and the Law, Consequences of Pollution, Examples of Spillages, Pre-planning `Spill Response Plan` and Disposal / Duty of Care. The second part is a `hands on` interactive demonstration of all pollution prevention products, the physical make up and attributes of the sorbents and the most efficient way of using them safely. This session will also include a Spill Response Exercise where the delegates have to cope with an actual spill situation and respond accordingly using absorbents in the form of a Spill Kit.
