Regular testing of your sprinkler system is necessary to verify peak performance and identify and fix emerging issues that may compromise its effectiveness. Typically, test water is released outside of a building, wasting many gallons each test cycle. AGF offers an alternative in our TESTanSAVE product.
TESTanSAVE is a water containment device for sprinkler systems that recirculates test water through the supply riser, thereby eliminating the need to introduce new gray water into the system. Its three-step operation is based on the principle that the amount of test water exiting a system equals the amount needed to refill it.
In Step 1, when the test valve is opened, the water empties from the system and activates the required alarms. Note that in a multi-level building, testing begins on the first floor.

In Step 2, instead of water draining to the outside, the TESTanSAVE recirculates it into the system, allowing the inspection to commence on the remaining floors or locations.

In Step 3, when the final valve is tested, the discharged water refills the small reservoir within the TESTanSAVE. It is now ready for the next test cycle!

In addition to the environmental and cost-saving benefits of a TESTanSAVE, recycling the test water also helps preserve system integrity by reducing corrosion and decreasing certain risks posed by introducing new water with each test.
