Dishwashers, washers and dryers, refrigerators, mixers, blenders, and many other appliances have rubber or soft plastic components such as hoses, O-rings, seals, grommets, plugs and more. The slip resistance of these parts makes assembly difficult. P-80® temporary rubber assembly lubricants significantly reduce friction helping these parts slide easily into ...

P-80 Lubricants provide a safe and easy way to improve automotive assembly operations. Rubber’s non-slip quality can make an assembly process very difficult. Without an assembly aid, tight-fitting rubber components can cause production to slow down, and quality and safety standards to slip. The P-80 line is specially formulated to provide temporary lubrication that makes rubber easy to install, remove, or otherwise ...
ByInternational Products Corporation based in Burlington, NEW JERSEY (USA)
The bus transportation industry relies heavily on natural and synthetic rubber for various purposes including chassis, engine and suspension components. Additional rubber assembly applications include mounts, seals, belts, bushings, O-rings, grommets, insulators, tires, wire harnesses, hoses, and other powertrain components and subsystem assemblies. Due to the slip resistant nature of rubber, it is relatively difficult to install, remove or manipulate. P-80® Lubricants provide a safe and easy way to improve ...

Instrument for biodegradability analyses. The degradation of biodegradable polymers and biodegradable plastics crucially depends on the environments they may end up in, such as soil, fresh or marine water, landfill or composting site. Owing to the great variations in natural conditions, several tests are needed to determine the fate of a polymer material in real life and to study its biodegradability in different environments. In aerobic environments, the biodegradability is usually determined by measuring ...

Test Setup: A series of dilutions consisting of 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, and 175 mL of test wastewater were added to respective 500 mL respirometer flasks along with nutrients, minerals, and buffers. TCMP was added to eliminate interference from nitrification. Oxygen uptake was measured over a five-day test period using a CHALLENGE AER-200 ...

Method: An industry was discharging wastewater to a municipal sewer and was suspected of causing problems with treatment at the plant. Samples of the industrial wastewater were collected and oxygen uptake for four dilutions was measured using a CHALLENGE AER-200 aerobic/anaerobic respirometer system. Biodegradation kinetic coefficients were determined using the method described by Dang, et. al. (Res. J. of Water Poll. Control Fed., p. 1711, 1989). Results of the oxygen uptake measurements and kinetic analyses are ...

A pharmaceutical company was interested in knowing whether a specific component, MCB, inhibited the biodegradation of other wastewater constituents. A series of respirometer tests was set up using identical mixtures of wastewater and return activated sludge (RAS) plus varying amounts of MCB. The OUR fingerprint of this wastewater includes a first peak of about 500 mg/L-hr within the first hour of contact that represents the oxidation of highly-biodegradable organic constituents. A second group of readily ...

A pulp mill was interested in evaluating the impact of increasing organic loading rates on the performance of their activated sludge ...
ByChallenge Technology based in Springdale, ARKANSAS (USA)
Test Setup: 40 and 60 mL of wastewater were added to individual respirometer flasks each containing nutrient/mineral/buffer medium to form two different dilutions. TCMP was added to inhibit nitrification. 25 mL of seed from a laboratory scale reactor was added to each test reactor. Oxygen uptake was monitored using a CHALLENGE AER-200 respirometer for five days. A second dose of 40 and 60 mL of leachate sample was then added to each reactor and oxygen uptake was measured for another 5 ...
ByChallenge Technology based in Springdale, ARKANSAS (USA)
OUR measurements were made for two waste streams from a chemical production plant. The fingerprint for Waste 1 indicated the presence of three major groups of organic constituents. The first group of readily biodegradable organic constituents is oxidized at maximum kinetic rate through about one hour of contact. Oxidation of a second group of constituents causes the OUR to increase through about 3.5 hours of incubation. This increase in OUR is caused by growth of microorganisms during the oxidation reaction. ...

Specially designed and developed for food and beverage production, chemical–free ultraviolet water treatment eliminates all types of water-borne micro-organisms, including bacteria, moulds, yeasts, spores & viruses. Critically, UV treatment does not affect the organoleptic properties of water and other liquids, providing high rates of disinfection without any changes to taste, PH, texture and odour. This key benefit has seen UV systems widely deployed in all areas of food and beverage production, ...

The essential challenges of today are to ensure cost effective treatment and recycling processes for water and wastewater. Membrane technology solves this task by being an innovative and trendsetting technology. Today membranes are successfully used for the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater as well as for the production of drinking and process water from surface water. Membrane technology and membrane bioreactors (MBR) are especially important in arid zones for the recovery of clean water for reuse ...
