Microbial testing for metalworking fluids industry

Microbial Contamination Results in Less than 5 minutes! Microbial growth in metalworking fluids presents a major problem. Storage tanks, recirculation lines, filters, and other equipment can become fouled through microbial proliferation and metabolic activity, which results in a myriad of problems. These problems include compromised product quality from microbially influenced corrosion (MIC), equipment and filter plugging, and health risks from bioaerosols. The best solution to these problems is early detection ...

Ultraviolet disinfection systems for the well injection water & SRB reduction

Microorganism and bacteria control is increasingly an important topic of discussion in the oil and gas industry. Inadequate disinfection and treatment of well injection water and stimulation fluids, used in the recovery of oil and gas has been proven to lead to a host of negative consequences, including: - Souring the well with hydrogen sulphide gas H2S, Microbiological induced corrosion, Loss of fluid stability during injection., Plugging of the well, Damage of equipment and components (e.g. RO membranes, ...

Ultraviolet disinfection systems for the pipeline hydrotesting & flooding water

Before natural gas or oil is transported through new pipelines, the entire length of the pipeline assembly is pressure tested using either fresh water or seawater, and is the final construction ‘quality assurance’ test before the pipeline is put into operation. The pressure test is held for a specific amount of time, from between 1 day and 100 days, to ensure structural integrity before the pipeline is placed into ...

Membrane Water Treatment and Monitoring Products for Boiler and Cooling

Modern Water’s ATP test is the first step in determining the effectiveness of a biocide treatment program. Microbiological growth within a cooling water system if not controlled can result in the formation of biological fouling layers (biofilm) on all surfaces in contact with the ...

Stormwater Solutions for Storage and Detention Leads

Underground stormwater detention systems that allow detention are considered one of the most effective stormwater BMP systems available to control the flow of stormwater. Though the systems can be found beneath streets, parks, and parking lots, these stormwater BMPs can be used anywhere in residential and commercial areas alike. When it comes to stormwater BMPs, there are two considerations you want to keep in ...

Stormwater Solutions for Commercial Reuse

A Stormchamber system with a pond liner protected with filter fabric and a pump provides a highly effective stormwater/reuse system for commercial applications. With the stacking ability of up to four layers of our SC-34 chambers, or a single layer of our larger SC-44, very large volumes can be accommodated within a relatively small footprint. This results in significant savings over the typical use of concrete vaults for those types of ...

Water monitoring technology for coastal & estuary sector

Measurement of water quality in coastal regions and estuaries is critical in the characterization of hypoxic ‘dead zones’ as a result of nutrient loading and algal blooms in the water bodies. Sediment loading analysis through turbidity measurement is also important for coastal trend identification and modeling. Hydrolab and Sea-Bird Scientific offer a variety of multiparameter water quality instrumentation and nutrient sensors for long-term coastal applications. Sea-Bird Scientific water quality ...
