Case study - Ljusdal Energi, Sweden

At Ljusdal Energy, a shell & tube-condenser is installed. The technique takes a bit more space and gives almost the same performance as a lamella type. However, the customer desired tube technology. The condenser will handle the flue gases of two boilers that can be in operation independently.

Boiler: 2×10 MW

Fuel: Biofuels

Condensor: 4 MW

Total power delievered to distant heating grid is 24 MW.

The flue gas condensation recovers heat from an existing 10 MW boiler and a new 10 MW boiler. The boilers can be used independently. It is also possible to redirect the flue gases by the condensation.

The condensation is cleaned in a sand filter and a mud tank.
