Project: WetESP pressurized - Processgases Blast Furnace
Year 1997 LKAB installed a pilot Blast Furnace at Swerea- MEFOS, Luleå. The product gas contains both CO and H2. The Blast Furnace operates at 0,8 bar over pressure. The design pressure for the WESP is 1,5 bar. The emission standards for dust are < 10 mg/Nm3. This gave WESP as the optimal choice.
Result; The installations
This steel mill belonging to JSW in India is an ultra-modern facility that produces 11 million tons of steel annually. Envibat’s technology has been implemented to meet the requirements for low emissions.
Hotab chose Envibat’s flue gas condensation in its boiler plant, delivered to Statkraft , Sandefjord in Norway. The plant is built on lamella technology providing a compact design while performing good temperature efficiency.

Project: Chemical Waste Incinerator operating WESP Perstorp AB started up their Chemical Waste Incinerator year 2007. The emission standard to meet stated < 5 mg/Nm3. With a standard as low as 5 mg the natural choice ended up in a WESP.
Result
The plant has operated continuous mode since 2007. On-line measurements shows emissions 1-3 mg/Nm3.

Novartis is one of the leading medical industries. They chose Envibat’s technology for cleaning flue gas at one of their production plants in Ireland. The project was completed in June 2011.
At Ljusdal Energy, a shell & tube-condenser is installed. The technique takes a bit more space and gives almost the same performance as a lamella type. However, the customer desired tube technology. The condenser will handle the flue gases of two boilers that can be in operation independently.
