Project: WetESP pressurized - Processgases Blast Furnace

Year 1997 LKAB installed a pilot Blast Furnace at Swerea- MEFOS, Luleå. The product gas contains both CO and H2. The Blast Furnace operates at 0,8 bar over pressure. The design pressure for the WESP is 1,5 bar. The emission standards for dust are < 10 mg/Nm3. This gave WESP as the optimal choice.

Result; The installations operates in campains for appr. 5 weeks. More than 30 campains are done. Emissions are measured in the range 1-3 mg/Nm3..
