Senro’s windshifter is specially designed to separate materials of different weights from the material flow of a sorting line. By means of a strong air flow, the light materials are separated from the heavier materials. The heavy and light materials are discharged separately under the windshifter. Senro’s windshifters can be precisely adjusted for every type of material. Correct adjustment of the windshifter is crucial for the desired separation result.

A trommel screen is commonly used as the first step in the separation process of a sorting plant. The screening drum separates the material stream to be processed according to size. The screened fraction to be sieved disappears through the perforation of the sieve drum, while the oversized fraction is discharged to the end of the drum.

The conveyor belt can be adapted for any type of material.

To avoid irregular operation, disruptions or congestion, a metered, continuous product flow is crucial for feeding a complete sorting line. Senro has developed a dosing bunker specifically for this function. The bunker ensures a metered product flow to the sorting line. Depending on the product to be processed, Senro B.V. builds tailor-made dosing bunkers, especially suitable for your material flow.

Using a trommel washer, the dirty fraction, e.g. plastic films, is washed clean. The principle involved is relatively simple, but certainly effective. The material is fed through an input chute into the washing trommel. In this rotating washing trommel, water is added to the material. Due to the friction of the materials with each other and with the rotating drum, the material then washes itself, as it were. The waste water containing the contamination is discharged through the perforation in the drum wall.

Senro supplies optical NIR separators to fully in-house design and control. The purpose of the optical NIR separator is the fully automated separation of different materials from a material flow. Using the near-infrared (NIR) principle, Senro’s NIR separators can detect and sort a wide range of materials. In addition to the near-infrared technology, a colour camera can be used, which also enables colour sorting. Senro’s NIR separators are able to separate paper, cardboard, various types of plastic and wood parts from various material flows in terms of composition, particle size and mix of waste. In doing so, a high degree of purity of the sorted fraction is guaranteed.
