Model ACI 2 Stage -Andersen Cascade Impactor
Andersen Cascade Impactor 2 stages is one of the confgurations of Andersen Cascade Impactor 6 stages Viable. It is used when size distribution is not required and only respirable and non-respirable segregation/fractions and total counts are needed. The Two Stage Viable Impactor consists of two sampling stages. When air is drawn through the sampler, multiple jets of air direct any airborne particles on to the surface of the collection plate. The Two Stage Viable Impactor requires an exact fow rate of 28.3 L/min. Particles are collected directly in the Petri (ø 90 mm) flled with the most appropriate culture medium. After sampling, inoculated agar plate is incubated at the appropriate temperature for times ranging from hours for a fast-growing bacterium to develop a micro colony, to days for a fungus to develop into a visible colony. The mean number viable particles (aerobic bacteria or fungi) per unit of air can be calculated.
The Two Stage Viable Impactor is made of stainless steel, strong and durable material, not destroyed at high temperatures of the incubator and aggressive detergents.
To arrive until a fowrate 28,3 L/min, the correct pump is used and connected to the Impactor. It can be used Bravo X Bio or Bravo Basic R (TCR Tecora®) according to the correct working fowrate.
