Plusfab - Open End Pipe Pile
Open-end pipe piles have no sealed bottom or welded pile tip; the inside of the pipe is open during construction. Soil can naturally penetrate the pipe, creating excellent side friction resistance. If end bearing is required, concrete or grout can be poured after cleaning the borehole. This design works well in soft soil, silt, and reclaimed areas. It offers low resistance to penetration, quick pile driving, and stable bearing capacity. We primarily provide foundation work for projects such as ports, docks, offshore platforms, bridge foundations, deep foundation pit support, and large logistics facilities.
Commonly used steels for open-end pipe piles are Q345, Q355, Q420, API 5L Gr. B, X42, X52, and X60.
The default surface color is black. We can also offer anti-corrosion treatments. Options include painting, epoxy, zinc-rich primer, 3PE, and hot-dip galvanizing, depending on the project. For coastal or offshore projects, we generally recommend heavy-duty anti-corrosion treatment.
Basic components: A pile includes the steel pipe body, welds, reinforcing rings, guide rings, and flange connections. We can also add specialized connectors, reinforcing plates, pile caps, and hole-cleaning tools per your drawings.
When we deliver, we will include material certificates, weld reports, dimension sheets, and anti-corrosion records.

- Chemical composition, mechanical properties, and thickness tolerances are checked from the moment the steel plates arrive at the factory.
- The entire weld process undergoes UT/RT/MT inspection, with 100% flaw detection when necessary.
- The thickness of the anti-corrosion layer, straightness, and end structure are all strictly measured.
- Each batch has a material certificate, weld report, dimensional record, and anti-corrosion report.
